The Study of Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy, as we know it today, involves the use of pure and natural essential oils and hydrosols to bring about healing, harmony and balance of the mind, body and spirit. It is a powerful therapy with many facets, and many possible applications.
Why Study Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is ideally suited to providing a true holistic treatment, i.e. one which addresses the whole person, on all levels. Some aromatherapists choose to work mainly at the physical or clinical level - such as on muscular pain, wounds, skin conditions, etc. This is a wonderful part of aromatherapy and should not be undervalued. However, the benefits of aromatherapy for mental and emotional states, as well as subtle energy work like balancing the chakras and clearing negativity, give this therapy its broad appeal.
